Abstract

The packing box has a lid (11) with depending sides (17,18) fitting over the sides (13,14) of the box base (10). The lid has a rectangular opening (27) along one side. The box has a reinforcing strip (26) along one side. The central part of the box side opposite the lid panel opening has two longitudinal slots (24) with the reinforcing strip (26) passing in between. The strips either side of the slots (22) can be folded around the central strip (26) to form a carrying handle for the closed box.
