Abstract

The core has a stacked laminated yoke. The yoke includes an annular array of radially inwardly opening recesses, a stacked laminated tooth with an annular array of spaced teeth defining between them winding slots, a dynamoelectric winding in the slots, and interlock on the teeth and yoke core assemblies. The laminations are blanked out from a metal sheet and interlocked in stack. The teeth are blanked out from the yoke lamination, and are secured to the laminations of the yoke core, after the tooth core provided with the dynamoelectric winding. The teeth may be held by a jig during the winding operation which accurately disposes the teeth to define the tooth core assembly.
