Abstract

The mounting arrangement is for electric motors normally bolted in some way within a motor vehicle. The arrangement allows rapid installation and is esp. applicable to production line installation. The motor, normally driving a heating or ventilation system, is properly supported against vibration effects etc. Fixing of the motor is based on a sleeve (41), pref. plastic, into which it is fitted, using clips elastically gripping the motor casing (42). Several securing arrangement variations are possible, one consisting of longitudinal elastically flexing fingers hooking over the motor and securing it against a seating rim within the sleeve. The sleeve and motor are then fitted into their holder (30) shaped to match the motor overall geometry which is itself either held by bolts or rivets through side flanges.
