Abstract

The tool (1) such as a pitchfork, is made from steel in one piece and incorporates a tang (4) used for fixing the tool to the handle (2). This tang is fitted inside a suitable tubular metal socket (3), being introduced into its semi-closed end (6). The space between the tang and the inside of the socket is filled with an epoxy resin (5). This holds the tang in place and the open end of the metal socket is then fitted over the prepared end of the handle and secured by means of a suitable fastener (10).
