Abstract

The shaft bearing system is used on an agricultural ground cultivation tool. The tool elements are supported in a frame at intervals along a shaft, there being sleeves on the shaft accommodating ball- or roller-bearings, and holders enclosing the bearings and fixed to the frame. A separate sleeve (10) encloses the bearing (4) and supports it in the radial direction, while the holder (2, 3) is split, its two parts being clamped round the sleeve. To form an enclosed bearing housing the two shaft sleeves (5, 6) are stepped, forming an annular grooe for the bearing between their flanges (8, 9), which fit inside the holder.
