Abstract

The adhesive price label has a smaller rectangular part (1) carrying the price and a larger rectangular part (2) carrying further information. Between the two parts is a line of weakness (3) which enables the larger part to be detached e.g. at the check out desk. The label' includes a self adhesive layer (4) on the back of the smaller part, which is protected by a silicon paper backing layer (5) until ready for attachment to an article, and overlaps the adhesive. The smaller part (1) also has a cut (6) across it, under the adhesive layer. When the large part is torn off, the surface of the smaller part is also torn off, so that the price is destroyed.
