Abstract

The wall mounted mixer tap may be used in domestic bathrooms, providing hot, cold or mixed water feeds to a bath or a shower whilst incorporating an overflow. One casting (OC) provides separate passages for the hot and cold feeds. It may be mounted in a bath wall opening to constitute a support block, and also has a blind waste pipe spigot (CV) with an overflow window. A second casting (CO) has hot and cold taps, separate outlets to the bath (BO) and the shower hose (FX), and a third change-over tap (RR). A tubular coupling nut (DA) accepts two threaded spigots (FA, AF) to connect the two castings in a definite angular relationship. The joint has a special sealing washer (GA). Pins (SP, sp) may enter blind bores to fix the angular relationship, and the third tap (RR) may switch the discharge from the bath (BO) to the shower hose (FX) and vice versa.
