Abstract

The unit has a lavatory bowl (4) with a crown (5) and hinged grill (6), the height of the crown being adjustable so that the grill is flush with the surrounding paving (2) on soil (1). The water flush (12) is arranged on a nearby outside wall and is worked by lever (15) and is supplied from a reservoir via a supply pipe (14). The grill is lifted, wastes are put into the bowl, the lever is pressed and an automatically measured amount of water and disinfectant flows down pipe (11) through an annular flush canal (10) to activate the syphon in the bowl and flushing wastes through an exit pipe (7).
