Abstract

The chamber comprises a rotatable housing. The groove on its inner surface is intended to form a band from a stream of disintegrated fibres upon rotation of the housing. Pref. a conical disc is located with radial clearance in the open larger base end of the truncated-cone, and the disc rim carries inclined ribs which generate suction as the rotor rotates. Used for lint and trash removal during spinning of yarn. Lint and trash are continuously sucked from the rotor, via its larger base end, into a collection passage. Slubs in the spun yarn, and breakages are much reduced. No rotor stoppages for cleaning are needed.
