Abstract

The water tank is particularly used for storing hot water under pressure, and comprises a plastics vessel reinforced by a crossed glass-fibre winding. A rigid cap with neck fits on a dome of the vessel, the winding extending over the neck edge. A radial collar (7) is formed on the cap neck (6) and over this the edge (4) of the opening in the vessel (1) extends. The cap is divided into two or more sections (3, 3") held together by part of the winding (10) round the neck. It can comprises two deep-drawn sheet-steel components.
