Abstract

The safety feature is for controlling the end of travel of a hydraulic ram used for bending work. A sealing joint moves into a groove in the piston at the end of the stroke. At the rear of the piston (1) is a part (8) with a smaller external diameter. On this piece is mounted a guide ring (5) with an opening (5a) and a seal (9). The piston has a groove (10) at the end. The groove (10a) is sloped at between 15 and 30 degrees for 2/3 mm depth. The other face (10b) is vertical to the piston stroke.
