Abstract

Cinnamoyl piperazine and homopiperazine derivs. of formula (I) are new. Numerous intermediates are also claimed. In the formula R- is 3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl and (i) n is 1, R1 is hydroxy, X is O, m is 0 and Ar is e.g. a gp. (II) and (a) R3-6 are H and R2 is Cl, FM acetamido, a acetyl, cyano, methoxy, methyl, allyl or allyloxy (b) R2-6 is H and R3 is acetamido, methyl, acetyl, cyano, methoxy or Cl (c) R2-6 is H and R4 is e.g. Cl (d) R3, R5, R6 is H, R2 is F and R4 is acetyl (e) R3, R5, R6 is H, R2 is Cl and R4 is nitro, acetyl of N-methylcarbamoylamino (f) R3, R5, R6 is H, R2 is methyl and R4 is Cl, acetyl, acetamido or N-methylcarbamoylamino (g) R3, R5, R6 is H, R2 is methoxy and R4 is acetyl, propionyl, formyl, cyano, acetamido or N-methylcarboxamido (h) R4-6 is H and R2-3 is methoxy (i) R3-5 is H and R2, R6, is methoxy (j) R2, R4, R6 is H and R3, R5 is methoxy (k) R2, R5, R6 is H and R3 and R4 is methylenedioxy (l) R2, R5, R6 is H, R3 is methyl and R4 is acetamido or N-methylcarbamoylamino (m) R2, R6 is H, R3, R4, R5 is methoxy (n) R2, R6 is H, R3, R5 is methyl and R4 is Cl (o) R5, R6 is H, R2, R3 is methoxy and R4 is N-methylcarbamoylamino, (p) R3, R5 is H, R2, R6 is Cl and R4 is acetyl or N-methylcarbamoylamino (q) R3, R5 is H, R2, R6 is methoxy and R4 is acetyl-COOC2H5 or N-methylcarbamoylamino (r) R5 is H, R3, R4, R6 is methoxy and R2 is acetyl or (ii) n is 2, R1 is hydroxy, X is O, m is 0 and Ar is e.g. phenyl, (iii) n is 1, R1 is H, X is O, m is 0 and Ar is where R12 is acetyl, acetamido, N-methylcarboxamido or N-methylcarbamoylamino (IV) n is 1, R1 is hydroxy, X is S m is 0 and Ar is e.g. phenyl, (V) n is 1, R1 is hydroxy, X is -N(CH3), m is 0 and Ar is phenyl or (VI) n is 1, R1 is hydroxy, X is O, m is 1 and Ar is phenyl. (I) are used for the treatment of cardiovascular troubles such as angina and increasing cerebral and peripheral circulation.
