Abstract
An articulated vehicle is used as a car transporter. It has two half chassis assemblies (1, 2) each having a towing attachment joined to the other by a ball joint (4) on a horizontal axis. The two half chassis rest by their articulated ends on a false chassis. The horizontal pin (7) passing through the ball is held between two fixed stops (8) (9) on the false chassis. There is enough play between the stops to allow angular deflection of the pin when the vehicle bends. The pin is mounted in the ball so that it can slide by friction.
