Abstract

Plastics explosives compsns. using a water-based elastomer as binder and de-sensitising agent, and an organo-metallic dye as dispersant and emulsifier. Used for cutting, welding, casting and surface hardening, e.g. of plates and tools, underwater explosions, general explosive applications, seismic tests, prodn. of linear waves, etc. Improved resistance to water and storage e.g. resistance to embrittlement at low temp. and sweating at high temp. with increased safety during prepn. The prod. is flexible over a wide temp. range.
