Abstract

The telephone exchange distribution frame (1) comprises a frame of vertical and horizontal bars (2, 3) on which a number of terminal strips (4) and cable heads (5) are secured side by side forming a front face of the board. The strips (4) and heads (5) are connected permanently to the telephone exchange network and is a temporary moment between one another by cable links (15, 16) running horizontally and vertically behind the strips (4) and heads (5). The cable links (15, 16) are supported in open cable rings (6, 7) aligned in horizontal rows and vertical columns and secured to the frame (2, 3) the ends of each open ring (6, 7) overlapping spirally for ease of insertion and removal of a cable link. The construction provides a simpler and smaller board (1) with easy access and alteration of cable links.
