Abstract

L'invention concerne les écrans d'affichage électroluminescents comprenant une couche d'un matériau transparent formant une première électrode 4 et une couche en segments formant une seconde électrode 3 entre lesquelles est disposée une couche de matériau électroluminescent 2, une couche d'un matériau foncé 1 étant prévue entre la couche électroluminescente 2 et la couche en segments 3. Selon l'invention, la résistivité de la couche foncée 1 est suffisante pour éviter la formation de halos lorsque l'écran est mis sous tension électrique. Cette résistivité est, de préférence, comprise entre 10**2 et 10** 6 ohms-cm. Application à l'affichage de caractères alpha-numériques.
