Abstract

The filling unit for interchangeable, thin-walled sacks used for lining the tanks of transporter wagons, can easily be transferred and fitted to another sack without risk of damaging it. The sack inlet zone has a reinforcement to protect it against damage when it is manipulated against the edge of the man hole. Screwed nipples are formed by the filling and air-venting connections, each having a loose locking nut. Around each hole in one or both units a circular groove is provided for a sealing ring. A compressed air connection in the form of a screwed nipple is also fitted. A stiffening foil is clamped between the fastening plates together with the sack wall. The ends of the sack have inwards turned pleats and a welding seam is applied over all the layers.
