Abstract

The calibration system has at least two input amplifiers supplied with differing calibration signals and the output signals from the input amplifiers are combined in pairs, to form respective difference signals, e.g. according to a fixed test programme. Pref. the input amplifiers are divided into two groups with the same number of amplifiers in each, with the difference signals obtained by pairing, corresponding amplifiers of the two groups. The ratio of the two calibration signals is pref. selected so that the output level of the signals from the first amplifier group has a constant ratio, e.g. 1:2, to the output level of the signals from the first amplifier group has a constant ratio, e.g. 1:2, to the output level of the signals from the second group, when the amplifier network is correctly calibrated.
