Abstract

Cet accouplement comporte deux brides 10,.20 profilées de façon à former entre elles, lorsqu'elles sont serrees par un raccord 12, 22, un évidement annulaire 30 dans lequel est logé un joint d'étanchéité 31 en métal tendre. Des nervures 13, 23 en vis-à-vis formées sur les brides dans l'évidement pénètrent dans la partie périphérique du joint 31, provoquant son extrusion dans une rainure qui forme la périphérie de l'évidement Les faces qui délimitent la rainure sont orientées obliquement par rapport au plan de joint de sorte que les forces de compression résiduelles présentes lorsque le raccord 12, 22 est desserré sont au moins égales aux forces de frottement et de liaison qui auraient tendance à retenir le joint en contact avec une bride. Application notamment, aux accouplements à brides pour hautes pressions ou vides poussés.
