Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour démonomériser le polycapronamide. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à soumettre le polycapronamide, à l'état fondu, à l'action d'un vide, alors que le polymère est disposé en une couche mince, à en extraire le caprolactame sous forme d'une vapeur et à condenser la vapeur, dans un condenseur 18 le caprolactame ainsi extrait par contact avec un courant de caprolactame fondu, pratiquement sous le même vide que celui auquel on a soumis le polymère. Applications à la récupération industrielle du caprolactame obtenu dans le polycapronamide.
