Abstract

An appts. for the continuous mixing of solid products in the divided state and liquid products comprises two concentric pipes. The first pipe contains a helicoidal means of feeding liq. or solid. The second pipe is of smaller section and is placed inside the first pipe and contains a helicoidal means of feeding solid or liq. prod. The second pipe opens into the first pipe downstream of the inlet and upstream of the outlet. The first pipe is fed with solid or liq. product by several pipes opening upstream of the outlet of the second pipe, the two pipes being connected to proportioning components. Industrial applications include the mfr. of pastes for croquettes, pancakes, sponge-cakes, dough for bread, sauces, livestock food, syrups; the mfr. of chemical products e.g. acrylic concrete, glues, coating polystyrene balls for insulating partitions, making mortar, paints, varnishes, ceramics. Arrangement improves the appts. described in parent patent. It allows several constituents to be mixed in specified proportions without the formation of agglomerates or lumps.
