Abstract

The flow meter (1) has a guide body (2) made of non-ferromagnetic material which has a hollow space and an inlet aperture (3) and an outlet aperture (4) and contains a spool valve (5) which is displaceable between these apertures. The spool valve is moved by the flow medium towards the outlet aperture and, with a force acting in the opposite direction, towards the inlet aperture. On its circumference within the range of movement of the spool valve, the guide body is provided with a field coil (14) which is connected to a display device via an electric circuit. In the active control region, the spool valve and the guide body are of conical construction, tapering in parallel towards the inlet aperture. The spool valve consists of ferromagnetic material.
