Abstract

The rectangular front plate is moulded in plastics and has an array of slots (6) for the pushbutons. Above the array is a recess (8) for receiving an information label (9) protected by a transparent plastics plate (10). A cover (11) holds the transparent plate (10) in place, having side lugs (12) press engaging in slots (13) in the recess (8). The cover (11) has slots through which the information is read, the transparent plate (10) having convex headed raised portions (16, 17) engaging in the slots (13) for easier reading. The front plate (5) has depending side hook fasteners (7) which secure the plate (5) over a phone opening (4) in a press engaging manner. The fasteners allow forward a and backward sliding of the front plate (5) for alignment with the pushbuttons.
