[Also in Division G5] A ease 20 containing a pack of resilient cards 45 has its inside faces contoured to enable the top card to be urged forward by a finger of an operator, and curved about the pack, to take up a position at the bottom of the pack. The cards may be thin sheets of metal, plastics material, or laminates of various materials having a high resilience and elastic limit. Cards of unplasticized copolymers of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate may be calendered to a matt finish, and may have indicia thereon, Figs. 10 and 11 (not shown), on the top surfaces which reads in sequence as each card is exposed: the reverse sides of the cards may have indicia thereon which also reads in sequence when these sides are finally exposed in the pack. Alternatively, the cards may receive written messages, or written answers to questions printed thereon. The case 20 may be of wood, metal, or plastics material, and is shown as a moulding of polystyrene plastic resin comprising top and bottom portions 21, 22, which may be sealed together at the junction 23, or secured by latching means when the pack 45 of cards has been inserted. The portion 22 is apertured at 30, Figs. 1 to 5 (not shown), and has raised longitudinal ribs 31 which slope upwardly from the base near the end wall 28, slope downwardly at 31B and 33 to leave a recess beneath the front edge of the pack, and then slope upwardly at 31A to a point above the junction 23. The top 21 has a window 40 and complementary ribs 42 which are curved to match the ribs 31 at 31A. A stop lug 32 for all but the top cards of the pack is formed on a side wall 26 of the bottom portion 22. When the operator presses a finger &c. on the top card, or uses a slide device, and urges that card forward, the card is flexed around the curved surface formed by the rib portions 31A, 42, and moves in a bowed position along the ribs and beneath the pack, to take up a position at the bottom of the pack: this is achieved partly by the curvature of the ribs 31, 42, and partly by the resilience of the cards. When a card jams, the operator inserts a finger through the bottom aperture 30 to release it. For educational purposes, the window 40 in the top portion of the casing may have a smaller opening terminated at 48, Fig. 1 (not shown), so that the rear part of each card, which contains answers to questions on the front part of the card, is concealed.
