Abstract

The sample is allowed to sediment for a certain time in a first chamber (1) of a container made of tubular or hose-type flexible material. The container has a second separate chamber (10) containing a certain amount of a fixing agent. A proportion of the sample containing a predetermined amount of concentrate having a high concentration of sedimented body cells is separated off and enclosed in a third chamber. The third chamber is formed by partitioning a section of the first chamber. The remaining body fluid is removed from the container and the second chamber is connected to the third chamber in order to form a common sealed chamber in which the concentrate is mixed with the fixing agent.
