Abstract

The parking servo steering has a measurement-value generator in the region of the steering axis or the steering gearing, and a cylinder whose piston is coupled to the steering rod or toothed rack and that receives its working medium via at least one electrically-operated solenoid valve. The working medium for the cylinder (16) originates from the hydraulic power supply for operating a braking amplifier (20) or of the braking system and at least one solenoid valve (17, 18) is controlled depending on the output signals from the measurement value generator (11) and a safety circuit. The safety circuit disconnects the servo steering aboe a given vehicle speed.
