Abstract

The inking and moistening mechanism is for a small rotary offset printing press, having an inking roller acting against the block cylinder. The inking mechanism comprises ink box, lifting and intermediate rollers and a friction roller acting against the inking roller. After the friction roller, when seen in the direction of rotation of the inking roller, an ink profile smoothing system acts on the latter, comprising a pair of rider rollers and if necessary a number of reflecting rollers. The moistening mechanism comprises ink box, metering, intermediate, and moistening-agent friction rollers.
