Abstract

The lid for a cooking utensil has drainage for liquid emanating from the food being cooked. It has a basin (12) placed on the lid (10). Around the basin is a water-tight flange resting on the lid and pivoted on it. The basin and lid each have a drainage hole (22, 14) equidistant from the rotational axis and flush with each other. The underneath of the basin has a top piece protruding (25) matching a circular precess in the lid. The pivot axis of the basin consists of a fixture screw (18) inserted through a thread hole (19) in the bottom (21) of the basin.
