Abstract
The engine mounting unit comprises a metal bush (1), which is vulcanised to a domed cover (9), the bush having a blind hole (4) threaded for the equipment. The cover made from elastomer has straight sides, its interior shape around the bush being toroidal. A flanged metal stiffener (13) is moulded into the cover sides, forming an outer surface for a metal plate (2, 6) sealing the interior; this plate has fixing holes for installing the mounting and an annular rib (5). A conical spring (17) fits inside the cover, one end in the rib and the other held (18) under the bush: the interior space is filled with a heavy silicone grease (16).
