Abstract
Pharmaceutical compsns. containing vitamin E or a synthetic antioxidant, a selenium cpd. one or more lipolytic enzymes with an affinity for a water-lipid interface and polar lipids. Antiinflammatory, antidepressant and entrophic effects, also has hepatrophic, antiatheromatous and vasculotropic effects. Pref. compsns. contain 20-30 mg/g of vitamin E and 0.4 mg/g of selenium cpd. Compsns. of the polar lipids and enzymes are sufficiently stable to be freeze-dried. The compsns. may contain non-polar lipids such as neutral triglycerides, cholesterol and its long-chain alkanoic acid esters. Globin and/or phytol may also be included.
