Abstract

Compsn. for the control of plant diseases which contain an effective quantity of Al+++, associated with anions such as Cl- or PO4---, according to the parent patent are claimed. The aluminium is associated with a carbamate e.g. manganese zinc ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate (mancozebe). The source is pref. AlCl3.6H2O, Al2Cl3PO4.12H2O, an aluminium phosphate/chloride or the type produced when an alloy of Al and white cast iron is attacked by a moisture of hydrochloric and orthophosphoric acids or AlPO4.6H2O. The compsns. may also contain Fe++ and/or Cu++ ions e.g. FeCl2.4H2O and/or copper acetate and/or salicylic acid. Used for control of plant diseases, such as mildew, vine mildew (Oidium), white moulds in general, ferric chlorosis, Botrytis cinerea, etc. by use at 0.2-1 kg/hl of water.
