Abstract

The processing table is for articles, which are contaminated by radioactivity, etc. or for electronic circuits, medical samples etc. It has a table top with carrier section, and a container below it, for the articles to be treated. A unit is provided, to generate a protective pad of a gaseous flow medium, between the table top and the ambient air. The table top has a flap for each container. The pad generating unit has an outflow arrangement, and a suction arrangement on the edge of the table. Both have units, to control the high outlet pressure, resp. the low suction pressure, so that the suction force is higher than the outflow force.
