Abstract

Clothing used by a driver of e.g. a motorcycle having no cab or similar protection is heated by hot air. The hot air is taken from the engine cooling system and is fed into the clothing by channels in flexible material. The temperature is adjusted by mixing with cold air, prior to entry. A collector is placed near cooling fins at the rear of the engine cylinder and downstream of it is a fan. The channels for air are enclosed in insulating material and have holes increasing in number towards the outlet. They are placed at the more exposed parts of the body.
