Abstract

The heater is for a cattle drinking basin in an open stall. The heater is arranged under the basin and is connected to a short-free water line in the stall base. For water feed lines(16; 116; 216) and the basin (14; 114; 214), the section has an electrical resistance heater (24; 124). An electrically heated resistance heating wire (24; 124) is used and this is in thermally conductive connection with the heatable section of the water feed line. The heater wire (24) is laid in a bifilar manner and forms a loop (30, 32; 130, 132) in the stall bottom and on the basin.
