Abstract

The grape-harvesting machine (10) is of modular construction, with two tractor units (11), each comprising a narrow lengthwise chassis member (26) with front and rear wheels (27, 28) in a common vertical plane. Two conveyor units (13) each comprise a conveyor below the level of the grapes, and an elevator, in a common vertical plane. A number of cross-members (18-22) secure the units together and parallel to each other. The conveyor units are accommodated between the tractor units, which are set at such a distance apart that the wheels travel between adjacent rows of vines. The tractor modules carry reservoirs of hydraulic fluid and carburant between the wheels.
