a. Procédé par balayage d'une image en vue d'analyser les contrastes de caractéristiques choisies, permettant son identification. b. Procédé caractérisé en ce qu'on fragmente l'image 60 en éléments, on affecte à chacun une désignation correspondant à une première ou une seconde caractéristique, on compte le nombre d'éléments à première désignation ayant un nombre prédéterminé de première et de seconde désignations qui sont disposés en relation spatiale prédéterminée avec l'élément, on fait un comptage identique pour les éléments à seconde désignation, et on utilise ces nombres pour établir une formule caractéristique permettant l'identification par comparaison à des formules relatives à des images connues 82. c. Procédé applicable à l'identification de coupons ou documents divers en noir ou en couleur.
