Abstract

The pump comprises a housing (10) which forms a chamber of circular cross-section and has an outlet opening (12) at its periphery and a cental inlet (11). the chamber contains a rotor (14) having a number of partitions (17) radially extending to its circumference and a apiral-contour propelling element (18) extending from a radially inner area of the rotor to a point adjacent to the partition. The inlet may be co-axial to the rotor. The partitions may be radial blades. The radially outer end of the element may connect with one of the blades.
