Abstract

In the prodn. of a phosphoric acid solution with a low organic solvent content from refined phosphoric acid from the uranium extraction process, the separation is carried out in a separating apparatus contg. parallel corrugated plates and in which the housing acts as a second tilted plate. Simple and effective continuous process for removal of organic solvent is provided thus avoiding damage to the rubber lining of the acid evaporator and recovering solvent for re-use.
