Abstract

Adhesive compsn. comprises (a) 20-50% of a low mol. wt. dian-epoxide resin as binder; (b) 2-8% polyethylene polyamine as hardener; (c) 2-15% of an active plasticiser comprising a mixt. of phenyl glycidyl ether and the aliphatic epoxy resin in a wt. ratio of 0.5:1-1.5:1 and (d) 25-60% of a powdered filler composed of dispersed Al oxide modified by addn. of Cr oxide and thus having a particle size of >=50 mu m. Adhesive is transparent, has high specific heat-conductivity, high vol. resistance and sufficiently high electrical and mechanical resistance. It may be used to bond together the elements of optical systems and to seal the component parts of solid body lasers.
