Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement thermique de matières brutes dans une installation à four rotatif : Ladite installation comprend une zone de préchauffage et de préalcination comportant un sécheur, dans lequel la matière brute humide est introduite, cette dernière étant, après séchage et préchauffage, mise en suspension dans les gaz d'échappement du four pour être exposée à un traitement thermique suffisant pour assurer la précalcination nécessaire. Après leur séparation de la matière brute précalcinée, les gaz d'échappement sont transférés dans le sécheur et leur température est suffisante pour sécher cette matière dans le sécheur-atomiseur. Application au traitement de la pâte brute à ciment.
