Abstract

The top of the domed cover of a vessel for cooking and frying with oil has a seat provided with means of introducing a fume filter and/or a decantation filter for fat, which can be detached from their fastenings. The capacity of the conical cover is at least equal to the volume of oil used in the vessel. The seat is formed by a ring fixed to the cover, and inside the cover there is a collar on which the fume filter rests during cooking. The filter for the fat is a gauze fixed to the seat and during cooking it is below the fume filter. To filter the oil after use it is only necessary to invert the cover above a suitable container and pour the oil into the cover. The operation is perfectly simple and there is no risk whatever to the user.
