Abstract

The safety screw attachment for mounting a camera on a tripod platform prevents the camera from falling accidently when the screw is not correctly in position. A camera is mounted on a support (12) by a shaft (14) with a threaded end section (18). This is screwed into the camera by a knurled head (22). A ring (28) over the non threaded section is of larger diameter than the gap (L) between two shoulders (34, 36) at the open end of a slot (16) in the support. These shoulders prevent the camera and screw from sliding out of the slot.
