Abstract

The node pieces (2) of the modular construction take an 'L' or a 'T' shaped form, and are fabricated by the welding together of cut lengths of metal tube. They are used to build frames for gates or ornamental balcony rails from various fabricated wrought iron elements. Each leg of each node piece may present an open end into which is inserted the end of a frame post or rail (1), with the inserted ends secured by diametric screws (7). The heads of the screws may be square and be surmounted by a pyramid formation.
