Abstract

L'invention concerne une machine à tarauder comprenant un taraud ayant une partie pour découper les filetages et une tige, un ensemble de mandrins d'entraînement du taraud comprenant deux groupes de mandrins d'entraînement entourant la tige, longitudinalement espacés par rapport à la tige, au moins l'un des groupes de mandrins étant toujours en engagement avec la tige pour lui impartir un mouvement d'entraînement en rotation, et chaque groupe de mandrins pouvant être séquentiellement dégage de la tige pour y permettre le passage d'une ébauche Selon l'invention, pour un mouvement relatif axial entre l'ébauche 74 et la partie 4 découpant les filets du taraud 5, l'ébauche est maintenue dans un ensemble de mandrins 7 comprenant un groupe de mâchoires 30 mobiles vers l'intérieur, chaque mâchoire 30 ayant une première face plane 31 pour engagement avec la surface de sortie de l'ébauche pour l'ajuster par rapport au taraud 4, 5. L'invention s'applique notamment au taraudage des écrous plats et à embase.
