Abstract

The extractor hood is fitted into the peak of the building roof and has vertical walls which slope inwards (1) to the top; this is truncated and has an opening (4) immediately below the suction fans unit (8). The fan units has filters (10) and a regulator (14). The fumes rise upwards and the main part (6) is withdrawn directly by the suction fans. The remaining part (7) spills downwards and is collected through side ducts (12) fitted along and inside the vertical walls of the hood. These side ducts have vertical openings (13) and are connected directly to the main fan unit.
