Abstract

The vegetable material is solvent extracted followed by concn. of the extract and addn. of a part of the shampoo ingredients. After clarification of the soln., the flavanoid content is determined and the extract is diluted as required with a soln. contg. another part of the shampoo ingredients. The extract results in shampoos which are stable to storage, contain a standardised amt. of flavanoids and give an excellent blonding effect.
