Abstract

In order to achieve an enhancement of the setting accuracy and measurement accuracy with the aid of simple means, and above all to exclude any possible influence of unequally strong pressure forces or operating forces on the measurement result, the detecting element (10) is simultaneously constructed as a sensor, which can be actuated by being placed onto the workpiece, of a stop switch (15) which when the sensor responds stops the counting or display unit. The manual measuring device can also be constructed as a dial gauge or sensing-lever probe.
