Abstract

A diving mask comprises a curved transparent visor of moulded polycarbonate and a soft rubber frame for obtaining a water-tight seal against a wearer's face. Lighter, tougher, more streamlined than a conventional mask with a plane glass visor and a substantial rubber frame, also offers a better field of vision. Polycarbonate is preferred for flexibility about a longitudinal axis.
