Abstract

The regulation process is for domestic electrical systems where the requirement is approximately cyclic over twenty-four hours. Regulation is by simultaneous suppression of supply phases in the supply network to various heating element. Suppression is programmed over the heating period T/n of three groups of heating elements where T=cyclic period and n=an integer greater than 2 such that the elements operate effectively for 24/n hours. Switching is by a cam mechanism via an electronic governor from a tariff or programmed clock. The system is manually set up using a two positioned relay.
