Abstract

The control unit for e.g. motors and heaters, contains devices for protection and remote control. These devices are mounted on PCBs and they are arranged to self-destruct if a short circuit of magnitude greater than the response time of the protection device occurs. The PCBs are mounted at right angles to the front plate of the unit. The unit can contain different controls, which include a contactor and a protection circuit for a single phase motor, or there may be two contactos and a protection circuit for a 3-phase motor. There may be a timing circuit.
